What You Will Do
We are looking for an A/V Engineering intern to work with the team that is responsible for performing Audio/Video Engineering activities related to attractions ride, show and park/resort wide systems! As an intern on the team you will have the opportunity to:
Assist in the design and implementation of audio systems including the selection of placement of speakers, allocation and selection of amplifiers, audio processors and audio source equipment
Assist in the design and implementation of video systems including mpeg and jpeg2000 playback systems, video line amplifiers, interfaces and confidence monitors
Assist with the design of the control interfaces between the playback systems and the show control and facility systems
Perform the testing and evaluation of new products (speakers, amplifiers, and reproduction equipment)
Provide support for the installation, test and adjust of attraction level playback systems
Required Qualifications & Skills
Audio/Video related education or pre-graduation experience
Electronics background
Basic understanding of acoustics
Basic understanding or audio reproduction
Ability to work in a collaborative environment
Education
Currently enrolled as a Junior or higher, or must have graduated from an accredited college/university within the past 6 months, earning a BS or higher degree in Electronics Engineering, Audio Video Engineering or an equivalent degree
Eligibility Requirements & Program Information
Must be enrolled in an accredited college/university taking at least one class in the semester/quarter (spring/fall) prior to participation in the internship program OR must have graduated from a college/university within 6 months at time of application posting OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Internship.
Must be at least 18 years of age
Must not have completed one year of continual employment on a Disney internship or program.
Must possess unrestricted work authorization
