Job description
Maintenance Technician Position Overview: The Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining machinery and mechanical equipment such as motors, engines, conveyor systems, packaging lines, and other production and manufacturing equipment in a safe and efficient manner. Key Responsibilities: Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on production equipment, conveyors, packaging lines, motors, engines and other mechanical systems. Perform inspections, tests, and preventative maintenance on equipment and machinery. Test and replace broken or worn parts, such as belts and bearings. Identify and resolve malfunctions in mechanical and electronic systems. Maintain accurate maintenance records. Program, calibrate, and debug automated systems. Operate and maintain dairy, food manufacturing equipment. Use hand tools and power tools to repair and maintain various systems. Work with engineering staff to develop and integrate solutions. Maintain a clean and organized workspace. Qualifications: ~ High school diploma or GED. ~2+ years of experience in maintenance or related field. ~ Knowledge of PLC and automation systems. ~ Proficiency in problem-solving and troubleshooting. ~ Excellent mechanical and electrical aptitude. ~ Ability to read and interpret mechanical and electrical schematics. ~ Strong organizational skills. ~ Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. ~ Nice to have: experience in dairy, food manufacturing, packaging line maintenance, and/or programming conveyors.
