JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

The Science IT department in the Eberly College of Science is looking for two motivated and self-driven part-time IT Support professionals to join their Service Desk team. Our team is responsible for the IT needs of roughly 850 faculty and staff, plus graduate students, in a diverse research and teaching environment.

Supported devices include computers with Windows, Mac, and Linux operating systems (a variety of versions and distributions), Android and iOS mobile devices, and miscellaneous printers, peripherals, and web-conference technologies.


These positions will work roughly 20 hours a week on various incidents, and system builds on-site. Customer service and/ or previous technical support experience are highly desired. Students are greatly encouraged to apply. We offer flexible scheduling for student team members.

Pursuant to the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act and the Pennsylvania Act of 1988, Penn State publishes a combined Annual Security and Annual Fire Safety Report (ASR). The ASR includes crime statistics and institutional policies concerning campus security, such as those concerning alcohol and drug use, crime prevention, the reporting of crimes, sexual assault, and other matters.
