Job description
The Regional Director d irects, coordinates and supervises volunteer-driven community initiatives, processes and activities and integrates them with the mission of the organization in consultation with the Community Investment department. This position collaborates with community leaders to provide a comprehensive approach to solving social issues in the throughout the County, particularly in the Arlington and NE areas, as well as assisting with community planning and capacity building.
Supervisory Responsibilities: Manages 1-2 staff members.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: - Coordinate activities of the Arlington office throughout the community
- Manage the work outlined in City of Arlington Community Development Block Grant (CDBG)
- Accountable for coordination and integration of program development efforts as may be required by Chief Impact Officer and set out in annual work plan
- Provide primary staffing and develop innovative strategies for implementing and measuring use of United Way funds in the community around a target issue
- In coordination with Chief Impact Officer, develop and execute any relevant Community Initiatives in support of the strategic plan for the Community Investment Division
- Accountable for the operations of the Arlington office suite
- Provide exceptional customer service to both internal and external stakeholders
- Work in close concert with Development staff and ensure all program initiatives are coordinated in advance
- Additional duties as assigned

- Must be eligible to work in the United States (No Sponsorship)
- Strong computer skills in MS Office (Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook) and analytical software
- Effective communications skills (written and verbal)
- Must have strong interpersonal skills, maturity and good judgment and be capable of communicating with a diverse range of individuals
- Demonstrated ability to work with diverse community segments, volunteers, groups, individuals, and professionals
- Strong organizational and follow-through skills and energy for working with diverse, concurrent planning activities as evidenced by letters of reference from former supervisors and volunteer leaders
Experience/Educational Requirements: - 8+ years of experience with progressive responsibilities in a community organization/mobilization and capacity building, interagency, or intergovernmental relations
- Bachelors degree in social work, Urban Planning, Public Administration or related discipline required and can be substituted for two years of service; Masters degree in related field preferred.
Additional Requirements: - Valid Texas drivers license, minimum state auto insurance, and reliable transportation

Work Environment: The work environment is representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job including traditional office environments and performance of work within client residents. Although remote work is occasionally permitted for this position, the individual must reside primarily in North Texas with the ability to work from the office, corporate location or other necessary location on a daily basis.
Work Hours: - Monday-Friday 8-5PM (flexible hours)
- May require some evenings, weekends for special events

As a nonprofit leader, we partner with companies, organizations, schools, religious institutions and city/state and local governments to fulfill our mission of providing leadership and harnessing resources to solve Tarrant Countys toughest social issues. We also serve as the regional grantee for Tarrant Countys Area Agency on Aging (AAA).
United Way of Tarrant County and AAA employ approximately 70 people dedicated to our mission. Through their efforts, our Campaign and the generosity of individual donors and foundations, we provide resources and funding to dozens of agencies that focus on education, financial stability, older adults and health and wellbeing.
