VACANCY NOTICE
POSITION TITLE: Jumpstart Program Supervisor
BUILDING(S): Early Childhood Center
CLASSIFICATION: Tier IIB
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: 12 months. Hours to be determined.
SALARY: Starting at $54,000/year (prorated) commensurate
with credentials and experience
IMMEDIATE SUPERVISOR: Director of Early Learning or Designee
EVALUATION PROCEDURES: Annually

QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Bachelor's Degree in early childhood, social work or related field required. A
Professional Educator License (PEL) preferred.
2. Experience in early childhood or child development required.
3. Experience with home visiting services and/or Parents As Teachers curriculum
preferred.
4. Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
5. Strong interpersonal and intrapersonal skills.
6. Excellent written and oral communication skills.
7. Ability to work with a linguistically and culturally diverse community.
JOB DESCRIPTION / RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Completion of Parents As Teachers (PAT) Foundational and Model
Implementation Training after date of hire.
2. Coordinate, lead, and supervise Jumpstart, the district's birth to three home
visiting program.
3. Support Director of Early Learning or Designee in coordinating efforts to
implement the vision for the program and define desired results that align with the
overall program vision and lead to successful performance for young learners;
ensure that the program's identity, vision, and mission drive program decisions.
4. Evaluate program staff, provide on-going reflective supervision for lead parent
educator and team reflective supervision. Provide additional reflective
supervision for individual parent educators as needed.
5. Attend supervisor meetings and early childhood/home visiting community
network meetings.
6. Ensure grant reporting documentation is submitted, accurate, and updated.
7. Ensure implementation of PAT curriculum for Jumpstart including fidelity of
implementation.
8. Conduct difficult but crucial conversations with individuals, teams, and staff
based on program outcomes and social emotional needs of enrolled children and
families in a timely manner for the purpose of enhancing children/families'
growth.
9. Work with Director of Early Learning or Designee to create a continuous
improvement cycle that uses multiple forms of data to support individual, team,
and program-wide improvement goals, identify and address areas of
improvement, and celebrate successes.
10. Build staff capacity and ensure the training, development, and support for highperforming
program teams to support adult learning and development to advance
and further develop the Jumpstart program.
11. Lead the recruitment, selection, and assignment of Jumpstart team members.
12. Coordinate and lead Advisory Committee.
13. Coordinate and facilitate bimonthly parent/child interaction groups (on and off
site)
14. Develop and provide an orientation process for new parent educators.
15. Create, develop, and sustain relationships that result in active recruitment and
enrollment in the Jumpstart program, including participation in recruitment events
that may occur on evenings or weekends.
16. Proactively engage families and communities in supporting their child's learning,
the family's goals and the program goals.
17. Demonstrate personal and professional standards and conduct that enhance the
image of the district, the program and the educational profession; treat all people
fairly, equitably, and with dignity and respect.
18. Create and support a climate that values, accepts and understands diversity in
culture and point of view.
19. Support a culture of high aspirations and achievement and for every child/family.
20. Assist with preparation of state early childhood grants (i.e. prevention initiative
grant) and budget development and complete required reports under the direction
of the Director of Early Learning or Designee.
21. Require staff to demonstrate consistent values and positive behaviors aligned to
the program's vision and mission.
22. Exhibit legal and ethical behavior in professional practice; follow and implement
all district rules, regulations, practices and policies.
23. Continuously improve professional practices, model lifelong learning, and exhibit
leadership in the program and professional community.
24. Perform all other duties as assigned.
