Job description
CommunityAmerica seeks a Lead Innovation Specialist to support the design and development of new financial products and collaborate across various teams. Your role includes overseeing product lifecycles, engaging in marketing strategies, managing performance metrics, and continuous product optimization.
This candidate will become a core part of the Innovation Lab, working with talented teammates to help the organization solve complex problems, resulting in delightful end-to-end experiences for our members.
As an innovation management specialist, this person will play a pivotal role in launching new products, that are a unique blend of digital and physical retail experiences. A successful candidate will assist with guiding the product from concept to reality, ensuring a seamless and engaging experience for members.
- A/B testing and user adoption – design tests and experiments to understand what marketing messages and product features resonate. Analyze data to understand user behavior and preferences. Develop different strategies to drive user interaction.
- Seamless member experience – Ensure digital and physical experiences are seamless. Assist training team with tools and resources to ensure product benefits are well understood.
- Optimize and Refine: Continuously gather and analyze feedback from both digital platforms and retail locations. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement improvements and refine the overall experience.
- Research: Assist in researching and analyzing market trends and customer needs in the financial sector; Engage in competitive analysis to benchmark against industry standards and innovations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to facilitate product development.
- Participate in the entire product development lifecycle, from ideation to market launch and evaluation.
- Aid in preparing product documentation and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
- Support project management activities, including scheduling, resource allocation, and progress tracking.
- Participate in continuous learning and professional development activities related to product innovation and financial technology.
Education and Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Technology, or a related field.
- Some experience in product development, working in digital and retail channels and digital marketing. Financial services or technology experience is a plus.
- Basic understanding of financial products and market dynamics.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Good analytical and problem-solving abilities. Experience with A/B testing tools and methodologies preferred.
- Excellent communication skills, with an ability to bridge the gap between digital and physical retail environments.
- Empathy and user-centric mindset: Demonstration of employing a user-centric approach, ensuring products and services resonate with and are accessible to diverse user groups
- Basic knowledge of emerging technologies in financial services.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team and drive results.
- Demonstrated understanding and passion for innovation and design thinking practices/human centered design.
- Ability to think strategically but also willing to roll up sleeves to do the work (‘strategic doer’)
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to clearly articulate a problem space, sometimes in various ways to meet the needs of different stakeholders.
- Ability to prioritize and manage several milestones and projects efficiently.
