What You’ll Do

This position will be responsible for creating and facilitating research-based, monthly trainings throughout the agency that can be transferred onto the job.

Job duties for this position include assessing needs for learners and designing trainings that target and support those needs, utilizing technology to facilitate training, designing surveys to assess the learner’s needs as well as the feedback from the training. Trainings for this position can be conducted in-person, for large groups, virtually, using Teams software, or on-demand, using e-learning software such as Captivate and various learning management systems.

Additional duties require the applicant to collaborate with colleagues on the team and across the organization to support new or on-going projects. This role would also provide support for projects that support agency engagement, which could include developing and organizing live events.

Schedule: This position has a flexible schedule.

Travel: Travel is sometimes required for in-person training around the state.

Technical & Professional Skills Utilized : Applicants should have a strong knowledge of organizational development, developmental trends in learning, how to train soft skills, training adult learners, and assessing the needs of the learner. They should also possess strong public speaking skills and a willingness to collaborate with peers. Applicants should be able to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines as needed.

Pay Information

This position is in the State of Ohio’s E1 Pay Schedule, Pay Range 31. Unless required by legislation or union contract, starting salary will be the minimum salary of that pay range (step 1, currently $25.45 per hour). These ranges provide a standardized pathway for pay increases. With continued employment, new hires move to the next step in the range after 6 months and annually thereafter. Cost of Living Adjustments increase wages in these ranges each fiscal year. The current step progression wages are in the table below.
