Job Description:
An employee benefits enrollment firm is seeking a Customer Service Representative to join their team. The ideal candidate will possess excellent customer service skills and proficiency in Excel, as well as hold relevant insurance licensing and be able to commute to Northbrook, Ill., on a regular basis.
Responsibilities:
- Provide outstanding customer service to clients via phone, email and in-person interactions.
- Handle inquiries, concerns and requests regarding insurance policies, claims, billing and coverage options.
- Process policy changes, endorsements and renewals accurately and efficiently.
- Utilize Excel to organize and analyze client data, generate reports, and track policy information.
- Ensure compliance with insurance regulations and company policies.
- Maintain accurate records of client interactions and transactions.
- Assist with administrative tasks and support office operations, as needed.
Requirements:
- 1+ year of customer service experience; insurance industry customer service experience (preferred)
- Active insurance license in Illinois
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including the ability to create spreadsheets, perform data entry, and utilize basic formulas and functions
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with a professional demeanor
- Excellent problem solving abilities and attention to detail
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Reliable transportation to commute to the Northbrook, Ill., office location
- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and upholding ethical standards
