Material Handler Lead (B -Shift)

Position Summary:
RPI, a global leader in print-on demand, is currently seeking a Material Handler Lead, where you will operate at an advanced level with strong leadership abilities, embodying the values of RPI in all aspects of your work. You will oversee material handling operations, ensuring the efficient flow of materials in and out of our production facility with accuracy and organization.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Receive, verify, and inventory materials from suppliers promptly and accurately, recording all transactions in our ERP system (Epicor).
- Conduct daily cycle counts and train on counting items in Work in Progress (WIP) and Floor Locations.
- Transport and stock materials between suppliers, warehouse, and manufacturing locations using company vehicles and material handling equipment like pallet jacks and forklifts.
- Stock materials for manufacturing based on material requests, visual checks, and indicated quantities.
- Maintain accurate records of all material movements in the ERP system.
- Adhere to safety protocols, including proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and compliance with OSHA and manufacturer standards for operating equipment.
- Utilize Isupport for ticket management and perform tasks such as running cycle count sheets and creating labels for incoming shipments.
- Ensure a clean working environment and oversee completion of daily cleaning duties by other Material Handlers.
- Exchange recycling bins in manufacturing areas and run reports for material handling and inventory tracking.
Required Skills/Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 1-2 years+ of experience of demonstrated experience in a materials handler role, preferably in a manufacturing environment with inventory tracking and cycle counting.
- Proven leadership experience with 3-5 years in a leadership role.
- Current or past forklift certifications.
- Experience with inventory control systems and transactions desired.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook and Excel.
- Strong organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail.
- Proven leadership abilities.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Capable of walking, standing, and/or sitting for extended periods.
- Proficiency in operating non-motorized or motorized pallet jacks for material movement.
