Job description
A lovely family of three who split time between Miami and NYC is seeking a full-time, English/Japanese speaking nanny to join their team and care for their 11-month-old son. The position is for approximately 50 hours per week, and duties will include everything related to caring for the child as well as some light housework and occasionally preparing meals for the parents.
This position involves significant travel, so you should be prepared for this. The family split their time between their properties in Miami during the winter, and New York during the summer, with approximately 5 months at each residence. They then travel to Tokyo, Japan for two months of the year. The family will provide an apartment for the nanny whilst in Miami and Tokyo, and they will either live with the family whilst in New York, or stay in their own accommodation. So it would be good if the nanny were to be flexible on this.
It is important to the parents that the nanny can speak native level Japanese to their son, to continue building on his knowledge of the language. They will also be required to speak only Japanese with the parents as well. The family are looking for someone who is trustworthy, outgoing, and above all flexible. The family are looking for a nanny who wants to stay with them long term.
