Job description
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments to identify academic, social, emotional and behavioral strengths and challenges.
- Interpret assessment results to provide recommendations for appropriate interventions.
- Provide individual and group counseling to students to address emotional and behavioral concerns.
- Collaborate with teachers and parents to implement effective interventions.
- Respond to and support the school community during crisis situations.
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and parents to develop and implement strategies promoting positive learning environments.
- Participate in the development and review of Individualized Education Plans (IEPs), providing input and recommendations for students with special needs.
- Stay current with best practices in school psychology through ongoing professional development opportunities.
Qualifications:
- Master's or Doctoral degree in School Psychology.
- California State licensure as a School Psychologist.
- Experience in conducting psychological assessments and providing counseling services in an educational setting.
- Knowledge of special education laws and procedures.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
