BlueHalo is seeking an electrical designer/librarian to join the Embedded Systems Group in Albuquerque, NM. As part of this group, you will be involved in a wide range of projects, including terrestrial and space-borne applications. Working in a fast paced, team-oriented environment, the electrical designer/librarian will design and draft electrical schematics, printed circuit board (PCB) layouts, wiring/cable drawings, review electrical designs and drawings, as well as maintain and support electrical computer-aided design (CAD) libraries. The qualified candidate must be comfortable working independently with minimal supervision and be responsible for schedules and deadlines.

You’d like to do this:
- Maintenance and support of cable/wiring CAD library
- Maintenance and support of schematic/PCB CAD library
- Cable/wiring harness design and drafting
- Schematic capture
- Printed circuit board layout and routing
- Participate in design reviews
- Assist in drafting supporting documentation for designs and systems
- Schematic and PCB capture software; Altium Designer strongly preferred
- Creation of schematic symbols and PCB footprints
- Use of Microsoft Visio for cable and wiring drawings
- Creation of wiring, cabling, connector symbols for electrical drawings
- Familiarity with IPC standards
- Wiring and cabling of integrated systems
- Experience using common electronic test equipment such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, power supplies, signal analyzers, and function generators
You’re required to have this:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering from an accredited university with 3+ years of relevant experience
- Associate degree in Electrical Engineering Technology with 5+ years of relevant experience
- In lieu of a degree, 10+ years of relevant experience
- This position requires the successful candidate to obtain and maintain and active federal security clearance, US Citizenship is required.
You Could Also Have This
- Experience with high-reliability or radiation-hardened electrical components
- Experience with mixed signal circuit card design, simulation, and layout including devices such amplifiers, analog-to-digital converters, digital-to-analog converters, digital functions, microprocessors, and point-of-load regulators
- Knowledge of Aerospace/Military wiring standards
