Job Description and Duties

Are you looking for more than just a generic analyst job? The Secretary of State’s Human Resources Bureau is looking for a creative and dedicated individual to become part of its dynamic team. Human Resources work challenges the analyst to be open-minded and flexible in finding solutions to personnel and payroll issues and situations. The Secretary of State’s Office is recruiting to fill two (2) permanent, full-time Staff Services Analyst positions and will consider a Training and Development (T&D) assignment for purposes of recruitment. A candidate that completes a successful T&D assignment may be transitioned into the formal classification without the need to recompete for the position.

As part of the Personnel Transactions team, the incumbent will work closely with other HR peers to perform process analysis, systems development, audits and reporting, special projects, agency-wide communication dissemination, as well the full range of personnel transactions. In addition to managing and supporting personnel and payroll actions for an assigned roster, the incumbent serves as a subject matter expert on policies and procedures regarding personnel and payroll matters and acts in a lead capacity to perform analysis to develop business requirements to maintain, enhance or modify internal service management systems including but not limited to the internal timekeeping system, ARTS, and the Service Now employee portal.
