Essential Functions & Responsibilities
- Collect, analyze, and report on sustainability data and key performance indicators such as energy, water, waste, packaging, and supplier-related sustainability metrics.
- Manage reporting of sustainability data to stakeholders and retail customers, complying with any requirements and evolving regulations.
- Monitor and incorporate (as needed) external standards and reporting frameworks to verify and validate sustainability performance of suppliers.
- Ability to work in and navigate through multiple software portals to report sustainability related metrics.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
- Assist with the creation and management of standard operating procedures, policies, specifications, and logs to support the sustainability programs implemented.
- Supports and improves upon processes and programs that will improve companywide sustainability initiatives; supports the overall sustainability strategy and team.
- Ability to travel by car or airplane with overnight stays.
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with sustainability topics such as: renewable energy, GHG foot printing and reduction, packaging, waste, IPM, water conservation.
- Familiarity or knowledge of external sustainability standards and reporting frameworks.
- Spanish proficiency beneficial, but not required.
Reports to
- Reports directly to the Director of Food Safety & Compliance and indirectly to the Vice President of Operations.
- Works with various departments including Compliance, Marketing, Packaging, and Sales.

Education & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Sustainable Food Systems, Food Technology, Agricultural Business or relevant discipline
