Position Overview:
AllianceChicago (AC) is a health center-controlled network and practice-based research network, linking
organizations serving Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) patients across the nation. It provides support for
health information technology that enables practice improvement, advanced data analytics and curates a
comprehensive health database comprising over 4 million highly diverse patients. The communities represented
include urban and rural populations, low‐income and uninsured individuals, racial and ethnic minorities, the
LGBTQ community, and refugee and homeless populations.
The Communications Coordinator is an exciting opportunity to work with AllianceChicago’s Communications team
in executing and monitoring communication strategies. This role involves creating public relations, marketing
materials, resources and more. This role also involves tracking and reporting analytics on marketing and
communications campaigns and coordinating events.
Essential Duties:
- Possesses an understanding of promoting company products, services, and events.
- Produces ongoing, original content to ensure the community at large can have a pulse on organizational
vision, mission, and journey trajectory.
- Manages social media channels to increase visibility and engagement around events and campaigns.
- Collaborates with Director of Communications & Marketing about marketing initiatives and project metrics,
as well as brainstorms fresh strategies and assists with process improvement strategies.
- Develops marketing, communication and social media materials including the creation and distribution of
press releases, newsletter(s), website content, flyers, brochures, presentations, ROIs, RFPs, and
marketing/educational materials.
- Interprets data on social media and email campaign reach, clicks, impressions to draw actionable insights
and implements activities to optimize results.
- Performs research and develops marketing and social media policies and procedures.
- Attends onsite events to gather photos/videos to be used as real-time content.
- Partners with team, other internal stakeholders, external agencies, and vendors.
- Supports coordination of events and webinars including marketing, registration, technology, and logistics.
- Supports the maintenance of website and learning management system.
- Supports the maintenance of contact details in customer relationship management (CRM) and email
platform.
- Coordinates the data input and development of KPI dashboard & trends for the organization.
Position Qualifications: - Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, Marketing, Graphic/Website Design or Business.
- Minimum of 1-3 years of relevant experience.
- Experience in not-for-profit a plus.
- Familiarity with WordPress, Microsoft Office 365, Salesforce, Litmos, Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter,
MailChimp and Adobe Suite Products a plus.

- Competence as a creative writer with strong writing skills with experience in crafting targeted
communiques and optimized digital content.
- Experience in project management.
- Experience solving problems, including metrics-driven thinking.
- Knowledge in digital media – production and editing of photos/videos.
- Knowledgeable about workings of media, business trends, and new technology to ensure use of leading-
edge communication tools to drive results.
- Ability to present effectively and confidently to audiences.
- Receives instructions and suggestions in a positive manner; works to implement suggestions and works
well within a team.
- Adapts to changes in the work environment, manages competing demands and can deal with frequent
change, delays, or unexpected events.
- Ability to work independently in an environment where distractions may be present.
Working Conditions:
- General office setting, extensive telephone, and desk work at computer terminal.
- May be required to lift, carry, bend, reach and stand with parcels up to 25 lbs.
- Will work in a close multidisciplinary team environment.
- May interface with clients in various settings.
