Role: Splunk SME (Engineer)
Location: Onsite (Phoenix, Dallas, Rhode Island)
Duration : Long Term
Years of Experience: 10-11 years
This profile looks for candidates having good experience in scripting and log analytics solution designing, implementation, delivery. Candidate will be responsible for solutioning, Implementation, consultation, management etc in said area. The candidate should have below skills and expertise.
Job Description:
- Implementation of Splunk infrastructure, deployment, products, apps, reports, alerts and dashboards
- Installation of search heads, deployment servers, indexers & Enterprise Security App Perform scripted installation of all Splunk components.
- Good Knowledge on Splunk Architecture, Administration, and its Components.
- Hands on experience in writing SPL queries.
- In depth experience with Splunk Knowledge objects, (Saved Searches, tags, event types, Macros, Lookups).
- Experience on Splunk Enterprise Deployments and enabled continuous integration on as part of
- Good Knowledge on Parsing, Indexing, Searching concepts Hot, Warm, Cold, Frozen bucketing.
- Java, Perl, Python, Bash, Korn or other scripting language
- Scripting in UNIX or LINUX or similar *NIX development environment
- Good knowledge about Splunk index Cluster and Search Head Cluster environment.
- Work on Extracting, Transforming, Analysing, Visualizing, and presenting data from diverse business areas.
- Design and customize complex search queries and optimize performance of the queries used in dashboards and Alerts.
- Implement summary indexing, report acceleration, and data model acceleration features for search optimization.
- Leverage Splunk REST API's for querying and updating data.

- Knowledge of ITIL foundations.
- Good knowledge related to Infrastructure management and Operations.
- Very good experience in development of integration scripts/programs using SOAP/REST Webservices.
- Good to have experience integrating with Cloud Services.

- Outstanding problem-solving skills. Fast learner & openness to try different tools, technologies & concepts.
- Self-motivated individual, able to work independently and in coordination with a team.
