Job description

Klosterman Baking Company is a renowned food production company that has been serving delicious baked goods since 1892. We are currently seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team as an Accounts Receivable Specialist. This role plays a vital part in ensuring the smooth financial operations of our company.

As an Accounts Receivable Specialist, you will be responsible for accurately recording and maintaining all financial transactions related to our customers. This includes processing invoices, collecting payments, and reconciling accounts. You will work closely with our sales and finance teams to ensure timely and accurate payment processing, as well as maintaining strong relationships with our valued customers.

Responsibilities

• Process customer invoices in a timely manner
• Collect and record payments from customers
• Reconcile accounts receivable records with customer payments
• Review customer accounts for accuracy and resolve any billing discrepancies
• Generate aged trial balance reports and assist with month-end close process
• Provide outstanding customer service by addressing customer inquiries and resolving any payment issues
• Assist in the development and implementation of accounts receivable policies and procedures

Requirements:

• Starting pay is $22-25/hour

• Must be available to report on-site during business hours: Monday-Friday 8:00 AM- 5:00 PM. Team Member will be eligible to Work remotely 1 scheduled day per week after completion of their 90 day probationary period and approval from their manager
• High school diploma or equivalent; associate's degree in accounting or related field strongly preferred
• 3+ years of experience in accounts receivable or office administration
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel
• Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Knowledge of accounting principles and practices
• Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) is a plus
