Job description
Position Overview: The Cost Segregation Engineer will be responsible for analyzing and preparing cost segregation studies. This role will involve researching, analyzing, and documenting tax savings opportunities for clients with regards to their fixed asset purchases. This individual should have a sound understanding of US tax regulations and the ability to identify, develop, and document tax credits.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze and prepare cost segregation studies
- Research, analyze, and document tax savings opportunities associated with fixed asset purchases
- Identify, develop, and document applicable tax credits
- Recommending tax strategies to clients based on findings and analysis
- Ensuring accuracy and compliance with federal and state tax laws
- Working with clients to ensure the most advantageous tax strategies are implemented
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 2+ years of experience in Cost Segregation and Fixed Assets
- Strong understanding of US tax regulations
- Excellent analytical and organizational skills
- Ability to communicate complex concepts in simple terms
- High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
