TA Instruments is seeking a dynamic, ambitious recent graduate for the Technical Inside Sales Specialist located in New Castle, DE. The Inside Sales Specialist is responsible for working directly with our customer base which include scientists, engineers, and laboratory managers by helping identify what TA Instruments' products will help achieve their goals.
The desired candidate is an upbeat, self starter with a scientific degree who will develop and implement a territorial business plan while collaborating with their assigned field sales representatives, Applications Support Specialists, Product Management and marketing colleagues to deliver an ambitious call cycle and business development activities.
The foundation of the Inside Sales Specialist's role is to develop a keen understanding of the customers' needs and challenges and designing solutions with lasting and meaningful business impact. This s a great opportunity for someone who would like to learn about the overall business and eventually launch their technical sales career.


Typical tasks of the position include, but are not limited to

Drive Sales - Independently and collaboratively by growing market-share at existing accounts and by prospecting within their territory for new business opportunities.
Quote Generation - creation of customer inquiries and orders.
Customer Relationship Building - Communication with and sell to end users and decision makers.
Goals - Meet or exceed sales oriented metrics.
Data Analytics - Using territory reports and updates on business development initiatives in order to target prospects.
Database Management - Using TA Instruments CRM to track sales activities, open opportunities and campaign follow-up initiatives.
The successful candidate will have a combination of knowledge, skills, and experience that would include the following

Bachelor's degree is required. A science degree is preferred in the following fields: chemistry, biology, materials science, physics, engineering, etc.
Candidate must be customer-focused and have outstanding written, verbal, communication, and organizational skills.
Can work independently and as a team across various regions and departments.
Experience working in a laboratory setting or with customers is strongly desired.
Basic understanding of thermal analysis or rheology is desired.
