Content Operations is ultimately responsible for successfully delivering Disney’s entertainment and sports content to millions of people every day. This involves developing, operating, and managing a global content supply chain – the myriad of steps involved from taking a finalized TV show/movie, or live piece of content, from inside Disney to audiences around the globe, in their preferred language and format. This team also manages technology operations in Latin America, Europe and Asia Pacific.
Responsibilities:
You'll join a hardworking group of engineers who build and manage systems that publish data to Hulu's internal and edge-facing services - ultimately powering Hulu clients running on smart TVs, smartphones, gaming consoles, FireTV, Apple TV, Roku, and others.
Basic Qualifications:
- 3+ years of related experience crafting large-scale, highly available Java services utilizing various database and messaging technologies.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software, Electrical or Electronics Engineering, or comparable field of study, and/or equivalent work experience
- Strong programming skills in Java or other object-oriented languages, and a strong grasp of computer science fundamentals (data structures, algorithms, databases, etc.)
- An ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
- Collaborate efficiently with product management, technical program management, operations, and other engineering teams to capture requirements, drive implementation, and provide transparency.
- A broad perspective on problem-solving.
- Strong communication skills and a desire to share your knowledge with team members and others at Hulu.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience deploying and scaling within a cloud infrastructure.
Job Posting Statement
The hiring range for this position in California is $112,600.00 to $151,000.00 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
