Company located in West Chicago is looking to add on a Maintenance Technician on their 1st shift! We focus on creating structural products that help people build safer and stronger homes and buildings. 1st Shift Opening ONLY!

Planning and prioritizing department work (50%):

Support Plant maintenance and facilities of operations.

Promotes a safety-first environment by following and enforcing all safety rules throughout the facility.

Ensures completion of daily tasks and work orders for all maintenance, repairs, and modifications to all equipment and facilities.

Assists with developing and maintaining preventative and predictive maintenance programs.

Support projects and work orders; oversee all work or services performed by outside contractors and vendor technicians.

Support the inventory of purchased parts.

Maintains technical documentation library and development of maintenance requirements for new equipment: manages the use of the maintenance management system (CMMS).

Manage spare parts to determine spare parts requirements and order quantities based on lessons learned through PM activities and budget.

Ability to maneuver in computer and other technology devices for data collection in CMMS.

Interpret a variety of data and make a clear and sound decision on best practices to keep production on track.

Size circuits (Wire, Disconnect, Run Conduit, etc.) for repair, re-route, or new installations.

Projects (50%):

Assist with project commissioning of new equipment or facility expansion/improvements.

Maintains positive vendor/contractor relations for equipment and services as required.

Proactively ensure contractors are effectively inducted and adhering to internal and external compliance requirements.
