Job description
The User Experience (UX) team at Bentley Systems is looking for a Senior UX Designer, located in US, Canada, or remote.
At Bentley Systems, we deliver solutions for complex engineering projects. Our users are the ones designing, building, and operating the world’s infrastructure. It requires us to know their needs very well, and this is where UX Design plays its critical role. As a member of the Bentley Open Applications UX team, you will use your knowledge and expertise to drive usability improvements for new and existing digital-twin-based workflows. Your work will support the productivity of water infrastructure Project Managers, Engineers, and Architects all over the world. You will contribute to creating delightful experiences between our engineering software (desktop) products and our analytical/review platform (web).
Your Day-to-Day:
Communicate with both internal and external stakeholders to understand requirements and manage the scope in a fast-paced collaborative environment
Contribute to and organize user research activities
Translate user research findings into insights and design improvements
Contribute to the existing design system
Mentor junior UX colleagues
Manage UX work on a product
What You Bring To The Team:
A professional portfolio displaying skills, with particular emphasis on problem-solving
Proficiency in general UX design competences and an eye for detail
Hands-on experience in formative and summative user research
Ability to communicate design rationale to the diverse audience of engineering and business stakeholders
Skills for interpreting detailed software engineering concepts and being able to design within known limitations
Great command of Figma
Fluency in both written and spoken English
Additional points for:
At least basic familiarity with CAD design and infrastructure engineering workflows
Experience in designing complex enterprise software products for different platforms
Degree in Human Computer Interaction, Computer Science, User Experience, or related field
