Job description
Spectrum Healthcare Resources presents a potential opportunity for a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner to serve as a civilian healthcare professional at Camp Pendleton, in Oceanside CA.

This role offers:
- Full-time commitment, 40 hours per week
- Exclusive focus on outpatient clinic responsibilities; no inpatient work required
- Consistent work hours: Monday through Friday from 7:30 am to 4:30 pm

Job Requirements:
- Possession of a valid State Nurse Practitioner License
- DEA License
- Completion of Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner training
- Possess and maintain current certification as an Adult or Psychiatric-Mental
Health Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC). - Have successfully completed 30 hours of education in pharmacology for
advance nursing practice. - Possess a minimum experience of 1-year full-time experience within the last
two years as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner that includes prescribing psychiatric
medications.
Duties:
The Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner's scope of practice will involve:
- Addressing mental health concerns through prevention and promotion activities
- Intervening when emotional or mental health issues arise
- Stabilizing individuals at their optimal level of functioning
- Providing specialized care to emotionally distressed individuals, both inpatient and outpatient settings
- Offering consultation within the broader hospital community
- Conducting patient counseling, crisis intervention, medication management, milieu therapy, group therapy, and critical incident debriefings
- Serving as an expert educator, advisor, and consultant on mental health matters to department chiefs and staff
- Coordinating outpatient psychiatric care within the behavioral health care service line
- Engaging in medical research on diseases of military importance
- Supervising and participating in graduate medical education and training for other medical personnel, contributing to the overall robustness of the medical system.
