M&A Integration Senior Manager, Lexington, MA (hybrid)


Mimecast is looking for an M&A Integration Senior Manager to join our Business Transformation Office (BTO). In this role, you will play a critical part in overseeing and executing the integration process for mergers and acquisitions, orchestrating across business teams and functions, and delivering against the acquisition objectives. In addition, this role will play a key role in managing related Transformation Programs.


Your responsibilities will include maintaining project schedules, summarizing status updates, and outlining next steps to ensure seamless integration. You will also support the due diligence and deal execution processes, as well as identify and execute on post-acquisition synergies and opportunities.


What You’ll Do


Develop and execute integration plans for each acquisition, ensuring alignment with the strategic rationale and value drivers of the acquisition.


Manage cross-functional integration teams, including finance, legal, HR, IT, product, engineering, marketing, sales, and customer support, to ensure timely and effective integration of acquired companies.


Drive decision-making, issue resolution, risk mitigation, and escalation management throughout the integration process.


Maintain schedule, budget, and quality standards for integration projects, and report on integration progress, status, and key metrics to senior management and key stakeholders.


Communicate and collaborate with internal and external parties, including acquired company leadership and employees, to ensure a smooth and seamless transition.


Identify and capture synergies and best practices across the combined organization and foster a culture of innovation and collaboration.


Evaluate integration performance and outcomes, and provide feedback and lessons learned for future acquisitions.


Support business transformation initiatives and drive overall BTO governance and standards.


Support due diligence and deal execution processes.


What You’ll Bring


8+ years of experience in M&A, corporate development, consulting, or related field, with a focus on integration management.


Bachelor's degree in business, finance, engineering, or related field; MBA or equivalent preferred


Proven track record of leading and delivering complex, cross-functional integration projects in a fast-paced environment.


Strong project management, problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.


Detail-oriented, results-driven, and customer-focused.


Ability to work independently and collaboratively and adapt to changing priorities and needs.


Driven by and enjoy the next challenge, bringing a balance of rigor and discipline, coupled with a pragmatic results orientation.


Preferred to have one or multiple professional certifications in project and program management, change management, and business process reengineering (e.g., PMP, PgMP, CAPM, CSM, CCMP, Prosci, Lean Six Sigma, continuous improvement).
