• Lead Azure Data Engineer

Frisco, TX Onsite

• Long Term

Mandatory Skill - Data Engineering, Sql, Azure Databricks, Snowflake

Technical skillset on Azure stack and Snowflake

1. For onshore leads, they need someone who has broader experience and confidence about entire DevOps process including security, encryption, CICD, Data frameworks so that he/she can guide offshore resources. For example, qns related to TLS networking, encryption, decryption was asked during the interview and candidate could not answer.
2. Resource should have hands on development experience, logical thinking, problem solving skills
3. Solution designing skillset
4. Experience with python coding

Job responsibilities

Design, build and deploy efficient & reliable data pipelines to move and transform data

Optimize existing pipelines and maintenance of all source-related data pipelines

Support on-call shift as needed to support the team

Build and Deploy extensive data quality checks to ensure high quality of data

Build high-performance scalable data warehouses and data products

Partner with leadership, engineers, product managers and data scientists to understand data needs.

Improve existing data movement frameworks and add more features

Extreme focus on automation

Expert level SQL skills

Data Modeling

CI/CD Pipeline and DevOps practices

Agile fundamentals

Prior use of Jira and GitLab
