Job description
We are seeking an experienced Warehouse Supervisor to join our client's team in Tacoma, WA. The ideal candidate will bring extensive knowledge in warehouse operations, particularly in managing a 57,000 sq foot facility. This role requires expertise in handling cubicles, attracting customers, collaborating with the sales team to educate clients on services, and contributing to the successful closure of new business opportunities.
Key Responsibilities:
Warehouse Operations: Oversee day-to-day operations in a 57,000 sq foot warehouse, ensuring efficiency, accuracy, and compliance with industry standards.
Service Expertise: Utilize your experience in attracting customers and managing customs-bonded warehouses to facilitate smooth import/export processes.
Sales Support: Collaborate with the sales team to educate clients on available services, contributing to the growth of the business. Provide insights into warehouse capabilities and benefits.
Transportation Management System (TMS): Utilize TMS for effective tracking, coordination, and optimization of transportation activities within the warehouse.
Employee Management: Lead and manage warehouse staff, fostering a positive work environment, providing guidance, and ensuring optimal performance.
Warehouse Logistics: Demonstrate proficiency in managing various types of cargo, including cubicles, flatbed, dry van, reefer, and food-grade certified products.
