Job description
Litigation Paralegal - Part-Time to Full-Time - Coral Gables
Looking for an organized and responsible person who has some experience and/or who wants to work in the legal field. The person must be a person who can do multiple tasks, enjoy legal work and demonstrate interest and commitment to excellence.
Initially, this will be a part-time job (20 hours a week) but could lead to 40 hours per week with salary and benefits.
Our Firm will train you to not only prepare documents but also understand legal strategy and give you the tools to be independent. Great working environment and allows some work flexibility after initial training in the Coral Gables office. The firm is intent on expanding and this is a great opportunity! Compensation- $20 - $25 hourly with possibility for salary
Responsibilities:
- Initially support Senior attorney with all aspects of legal practice including discovery, preparing litigation, emailing clients, and communicating with the Court staff
- Also handle some phone calls and intake
- Assist with trial preparation and hearing preparation
- Learning commercial litigation processes and procedures and assisting clients and potential clients
- Marketing firm to existing and potential clients
- Professional office - professional appearance
- Office Environment
Qualifications:
- Must be fully bilingual (English-Spanish) written and verbal
- Must be professional and presentable on the phone and in person
- Must be computer savvy with Word, and Microsoft programs and able to learn billing programs. Must be organized and responsible when given tasks
