Job Summary
Mirbeau Inn and Spa is looking to add a server to the Wine Bar and Bistro in our Plymouth Mirbeau Inn & Spa location.
Responsibilities
- Report to Manager on duty in clean uniform and name tag.
- Review scheduled shifts, work with the Manager on duty and communicate needs regarding Wine Bar and Bistro set up.
- Welcome guests upon arrival and departure from their table.
- Maintain an adequate supply of clean china and glassware on designated section.
- Ensure food order is taken correctly from each guest by confirming and checking as it goes out.
- Set up stations and tables with linen, tableware, and condiments both prior and after the shift.
- Serve food and beverages to customers in the restaurant in a friendly and appropriate manner.
- Review daily specials and attend pre-meal meetings with the manager and chef.
- Answer guest's questions as to food preparation and choice of beverage and desserts.
- Remove used tableware and linen from tables.
- Clean spilled food and beverage from the Restaurant floor and take dirty dishes to dishwashing area.
- Maintain the service area in a neat and clean manner.
- Assist the guests in obtaining other goods and services that may be needed.
- Keep the manager informed of all guests' reactions and comments.
- Report to work in a clean uniform with a nametag at scheduled time.
- Familiarize the Resort Suite, ensuring that each guest order is posted correctly on the bill, ensuring the guest's name is attached.
- Complete any other duties as assigned by the Manager in a timely manner.
- Act as a team player and assist other servers during busy periods.
Qualifications, Skills & Educational Requirements
3 to 5 years of experience in fine dining establishment. This position requires a pleasant personality and neat appearance. Knowledge of menu items and wine knowledge is preferred. The ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time and lift 40 lbs. is desired.
