Description:

Performs various assembly duties throughout the production area. Works with raw wire/cable and assembles into a working unit. Very fine motors skills will be utilized to assemble fiber and copper cables used for tv, internet, etc.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Prepares work to be accomplished by studying assembly instructions, blueprint specifications, and parts lists, gathering parts, subassemblies, tools, and materials. Positions parts and subassemblies by using templates or reading measurements. Assembles components by examining connections for correct fit; fastening parts and subassemblies. Verifies specifications by measuring completed component. Resolves assembly problems by altering dimensions to meet specifications; notifying supervisor to obtain additional resources. Keeps equipment operational by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer's instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairs. Documents actions by completing production and quality forms. Produces products according to established performance and quality standards as well as output expectations. Logs in and out of a computer when starting and stopping a job.

First shift only operation. Work hours are 7:00am- 3:30pm, Monday- Friday. OT is typically voluntary but may be mandatory at times and they will not work any later than 5:30pm.
