What You’ll Be Doing
- Inspect work of Room Attendants and Houseperson to ensure cleanliness of guest rooms and floors to Radisson standards.
- Identify and process all maintenance requests through effective communication on radio and Asset Essentials, ensuring proper Opera room statuses and follow-up.
- Design and implement new standards as necessary. Ensure training documents are updated regularly.
- Assist Housekeeping staff when needed, including but not limited to: making beds, replenishing linens, cleaning bathrooms and halls, and vacuuming
- Provide effective feedback to all staff to ensure quality. Track performance issues, draft written coachings and counselings, delivering to team members as needed following HR standards.
- Take periodic inventories of service areas and Housekeeping storage, assisting with placing orders and submitting POs as needed.
- Maintain professionalism while communicating and delegating tasks through the radio, email, or in-person.
- Assist with interviewing and selecting candidates. Take ownership of onboarding and training new team members, in partnership with Housekeeping Managers and other trainers.
- Be able to deliver feedback in a positive manner and lead the team with enthusiasm.
- Utilize downtime to self-inspect the guest room floors, guest rooms, elevators, and service areas to ensure cleanliness and conditions standards are excellent.
- Assist with writing employee schedules as needed.
- Attend hotel operations meetings as needed, taking notes and contributing.
- Assist with tracking and management of Housekeeping budget and expenses. Make smart financial decisions to promote the success of our department and business.
- Drive the culture and core values of GHG, with a focus on promoting our strategy plans and the vision of our leadership and owner.
What You Need for this Position
- 2+ of Housekeeping leadership experience preferred
- Outstanding cleaning ability
- Demonstrated record of reliability and responsibility
- Flexible schedule and ability to average 5 shifts, 40 hrs per week
- Able to stoop and bend
- Able to lift up to 40 pounds
- Able to work safely with potentially dangerous chemicals and equipment
- Able to comply with safety and health code standards
- Able to handle responsibilities that require repetitive motion tasks
