Job description
Kimley-Horn's Denver, Colorado (CO) office is seeking a Civil Engineer with 4+ years of experience to join our Land Development team! This position is located in our Greenwood Village office, and is not a remote position.
This is an exciting opportunity to work with a team of engineers, surveyors and designers on a variety of projects. You will work closely and collaboratively with other industry leading professionals, various jurisdictions, and contractors.
- Perform site development engineering and project management tasks for a variety of private sector projects including but not limited to: residential, industrial and commercial projects
- In addition to strong technical experience, other responsibilities will include project research, coordination, project management, staff development and training, staff management, cost estimating, permitting, and preparation of bid packages that may include technical specifications
- Assist in managing project progress, budgets, and schedules
- 4+ years of relevant engineering design experience
- Professional Engineering (P.E.) License in the state of Colorado
- Candidates should have experience with site civil design, permitting, and applicable software applications including hydrology modeling program, storm drainage programs
- Experience with grading and pipe network modules preferred
- Experience in AutoCAD and Civil 3D 2022 or newer preferred
- Experience with task Management, engineering design, and assisting Project Management tasks including workload planning and project budgeting
- Experience coordinating with clients, attending client meetings, and overseeing quality standards for deliverables
- Ability to prepare and provide guidance to staff to prepare plan sets and construction documents associated with land development
- Design experience that includes due diligence, 2D and 3D utilities, site layout, drainage, and permitting
Salary Range:
- $90,000 - $135,000
- Eligible for Performance Based Bonus Compensation
