Job description

The BOTOX® Customer Development Manager (BCDM) is a key member of the BOTOX® Marketing Team. This role is field-based, and as such, BCDM will serve as a primary contact to sales within an assigned geographical region. BCDM will be responsible for supporting Thought Leader injector training and development, engaging with External Experts (EEs) to gather business insights to support strategic brand planning, and driving Peer-to-Peer education. BCDM will be responsible for strategizing and collaborating with Region Directors and DNA team on engaging with Headache Centers and Academic Medical Centers. Additionally, BCDM will identify and support customer training and education opportunities based on Area needs.

Key Responsibilities:

Thought Leader Engagement and Development

• Develop Area customer engagement plan that supports best-in-class injector training and education and ensuring optimal patient experience and clinical outcomes.

• Manage and support BOTOX® Speaker Bureau within assigned area.

• Engage with BOTOX® Neurosciences regional/local EEs, emerging leaders, and state/local society leadership within assigned region to gather insights to key business questions that support marketing strategy, resource optimization, and tactic development to drive brand performance

Peer-to-Peer Support

• Identify and recruit faculty and attendees for national series rollout and speaker training

• Consult with HCPs on peer-to-peer content development

• Provide training on HCP led slide deck content and updates

• Uncover area speaker programming opportunities based on local market dynamics, provide guidance on speaker selection and content to align speaker to audience

• Collaborate with Gepant Marketing Team on Migraine External Expert Engagements

Regional Conference Engagement

• Lead congress planning and EE engagements within assigned area

• Identify key EE’s for conference product theaters and other injector training opportunities at meeting

• Coordinate execution of all conference elements across appropriate internal stakeholders and agency support

Market Insights Analysis

• Marketing lead for field competitive insights for the assigned area to help inform strategy and brand planning

• Understand objectives and key business insights for advisory meetings, identify and recruit appropriate HCP targets for participation, attend and/or assist in ad board facilitation

• Responsible for understanding a specific geographical area’s market drivers, competitive landscape, and provider dynamics

Scope and Key Skills:

• Must be able to manage effective written and oral communications with EEs, including the ability to confidently represent and protect Allergan’s (an AbbVie company) interests during interactions and/or collaborations with external stakeholders.

• Ability to translate market trends, insights and competitive practices to draw key business opportunities and uses them to help develop strategic and tactical plans

• Maintains a working knowledge of industry information sources

• Strong collaboration and team orientation, with experience accomplishing results while influencing without authority

• Effectively track and manage the marketing budget. Manages conventions, speaker programs, and meetings within assigned budget.

• Consistently manage multiple projects to deliver high-quality work product in a timely fashion

• Always mindful of and adheres to regulatory and compliance guidelines

• Understanding of attributes of other AbbVie internal functional areas and impact of relevant decisions

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree

• Proven sales, sales management, and/or marketing experience

• Travel up to 60% of the time including some weekends, with requirement for evening work

• Collaborative working style. Must work across an integrated team colleagues, understanding priorities and key responsibilities that impact the business

This role can be filled at either a grade 18 or 19, pending experience level
