Job description

Permacon, a CRH Company, is a leader and pioneer in the manufacturing of concrete masonry and landscaping products.  Permacon is a division of Oldcastle APG and operates 9 plants in Ontario and Quebec. 

We are currently looking for a Production Supervisor at our Woodstock plant. 

Reporting to the Plant manager, the Production Supervisor will be mainly responsible for excellence in Health & Safety, Productivity, Quality, Maintenance and Housekeeping for the site.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Supervise the hourly employees
• Participate in Health and Safety activities
• Lead daily and weekly meetings
• Manage work schedules and hours
• Participate in Management of Maintenance program
• Organize mechanical shutdown activities
• Implement/develop actions for improvement of Company KPIs in Safety and Productivity
• Ensure site is kept at set Housekeeping standards
• Help with inventories
• Purchase material for production
• Meet suppliers
• Ensure discipline in the plant

• College Diploma in a relevant technical field
• Minimum of 2 years of supervision experience in a manufacturing environment
• Be available to work on different schedules  
• Leadership skills
• Initiative and sense of urgency
• Precision and details oriented
• Microsoft Office knowledge
