Job Description

We are in need of a TIG Welder who can provide precise and high-quality output of welded products. The successful candidate will analyze plans, drawings, work samples, specifications, and work orders to determine work requirements and sequence of welding assignments. Tasks include clamping, holding, tack-welding, heat-bending, grinding spare parts, and controlling fitting, burning, and welding processes. Additionally, the candidate will examine finished products and spare parts to ensure specifications are met and identify errors or defects to be corrected.

This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 18 Week(s).

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Oakland Park, Florida.

Work Environment

The work environment characteristics involve regular exposure to shop elements such as noise, moving parts and equipment, dust and fumes. The job requires the use of personal protective equipment such as eye, hearing, hand and foot protection. The schedule will be from 6:30am to 5pm with a half hour lunch, four days a week from Monday to Thursday.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

• High School or equivalent (i.e. GED), and 2+ yrs of related work experience; or training equivalent combination of education, training, and/or experience

• Welding Certification desired.

• Knowledge of welding techniques, (oxygen-acetylene, electric arc, and TIG), tools and equipment.

• Knowledge of applicable codes, Drawings, Etc.

• Able to effectively work individually and as a team

• Able to take initiative and work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
