The AECOM Construction Management Practice is seeking a Construction Engineer (Junior Inspector II) to join our Construction Management team based in Glen Allen, VA. The successful candidate will work with a diverse team of technical leaders across a broad range of practice areas delivering professional construction inspection services to our key clients.
The successful candidate will join an established team performing construction inspection and oversight on capital improvement projects for AECOM’s client, the City of Richmond’s Department of Public Utilities. This position requires the ability to read and interpret technical design drawings, excellent written and spoken communication skills, organizational and time management skills, flexibility to work on a range of projects, and a positive attitude. The successful candidate will have the ability to communicate effectively with members of the project team, clients, site personnel and office management, and have the ability to work both independently and as a part of a project team. The successful candidate will be committed to the team’s success and growth; will rigorously apply safety policies and procedures; will manage the technical, and schedule elements of project inspection and delivery; and will effectively manage the quality of field efforts and project deliverables within the bounds of the AECOM Quality Management System.The job responsibilities for the position include, but will not be limited to:
