Job description

We are a growing fintech payments company looking for a Jr. Risk & Underwriting Administrator to join our energetic team. You will be part of a dynamic and diverse global team working in a fast-paced and collaborative environment.

Reporting to the Director of Underwriting & Risk, your responsibilities will include:

- Completing daily scheduled reporting tasks and advanced analyses to help mitigate financial and reputational risk

- Managing incoming prospective merchant files through the full client onboarding process

- Conducting initial assessments of merchant viability according to defined protocols

- Maintaining current prospect data and pipeline status in CRM and file systems

- Reporting and escalating any onboarding obstacles to management

- Coordinating with client support to transition new clients from onboarding to production

- Monitoring merchant processing activities and investigating anomalies

- Creating reports and presentations to analyze account performance trends


- Aggregating data from multiple sources to achieve comprehensive risk assessments

- Analyzing reserve requirements and taking action to mitigate risk for concerning accounts

- Performing additional ad-hoc tasks and projects as assigned

- Staying current on industry trends in payments processing


- Exhibiting a sense of urgency in addressing issues

- Thinking strategically with an ownership mentality

Required Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance preferred

- Fluency in English required; Spanish and/or Portuguese a plus

- Proficiency in Excel, including macros, pivot tables, formulas, and graphs

- 1-2 years experience in merchant services, especially fraud and risk

- Analytical approach to problem-solving

- Ability to calculate and interpret financial ratios

- Strong written and verbal communication skills

- Self-motivated with ability to work independently

- High curiosity and risk awareness

This full-time position is based in our North Miami Beach office with coordination required with global partners. Compensation includes a competitive base salary, health insurance, and 401k with company match. Some travel may be required 1-2 times per year.
