Healthcare Staffing Professionals, Inc. is looking for a Registered Nurse (RN) to work in a Psychiatric Hospital Setting in Petersburg, VA. A successful candidate will have at least 1 year of experience as an RN and will be able to meet submission and compliance deadlines as positions are limited and submission timelines are approaching. Location: Petersburg, VA Contract Length: 13 Week contract Shifts: Day Shift (7:00am - 3:30pm), Evening Shift (3:00pm - 11:30pm), Night Shift (11:00pm - 7:30am) Orientation Schedule: The work schedule is five 8 hour shifts to include every other weekend. Orientation/training is mandatory and will take place from 01/24 - 01/26 and 01/29 - 01/31 and starts at 7:00 a.m. each day Payrate: $65/hr as a travel employee ($37/hr + 224 travel stipend per 8 hour shift) $60/hr as a regular employee Key Responsibilities: Ability to work on any ward requested Basic knowledge of assessment, planning, implementing and evaluating patient care utilizing knowledge of pharmacology, psychiatric disorders, and physical, psychological and social Skilled in supervising, evaluating and counseling nursing employees Supervisory skills should include performance improvement activities, documentation, and effective leadership ability The ability to delegate nursing activities is also required. Licensure to practice as Registered Nurse by Virginia State Board of Nursing in the State of Virginia or Compact License.
