The Market Fulfilment Center team works closely with robotics and automation, to come up with innovative ideas to serve our customers. Imagine your Walmart order being fulfilled 100% by robots, and you are the one to make that happen, by enabling the technology and tech products behind it.

What is a Market Fulfilment Center?

These buildings contain fully automated robots which can store, pick, pack and dispense items ordered by Walmart customers including grocery and general merchandize. MFCs are a keystone to enable our customer to save money and time so that they can live better. In our current world, eCommerce has scaled immensely, and the reduction of touches on supply chain is key for a scalable operation.

• Supply Chain Management experience, Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), Technology Product Management, Program Management, Distribution or Ecommerce Fulfillment background
• Automation & Robotics experience (not a must have)
• Cross-functional team management
• Supply Chain Operations Management

What are we looking for?

The Director, Automation Engineering – Process Integration will be responsible for leading a team of engineers that design, implement, integrate and improve operational automation and fulfillment processes. This team is responsible for:

• Supporting the design of the physical layout of the operational space surrounding the automation to ensure efficient operational flow can be achieved.
• Defining and consulting on operational system requirements to support associate and leader interactions and management of the system.
• Exploring technologies to supplement operational processes including consulting on advanced engineering projects and emerging technology.
• Developing the KPI strategy to measure success and ensure business objectives are achieved.

Candidate will need to be able to be a strong people leader that can develop their team to be able to construct / deconstruct processes, access multiple data sources and pull together for analysis to troubleshoot challenges, and ensure systematic, physical, and process roadblocks are removed to enable operational success. There will be significant travel for this role, depending on workload ( 30-50%)

Minimum Qualifications...

Option 1: Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field and 5 years’ experience in Engineering, supply chain, or a related area. Option 2: 7
years’ experience in Engineering, supply chain, or a related area.
3 years’ supervisory experience.
