Charlotte Pipe and Foundry , located in Monroe, NC , is looking for an Industrial Maintenance person. Charlotte Pipe and Foundry is a leading manufacturer of pipe and fittings. We are the only manufacturer that offers a complete system of cast iron, PVC, CPVC, ABS and FlowGuard Gold® pipe and fittings for residential and commercial plumbing systems and industrial applications. Qualifications:
- Previous experience (1-3 years) within an industrial environment as a maintenance technician. Experience with Injection Molding and/or Extrusion Equipment a plus but not required.
- Operate and maintain all DC and AC electrical control systems including electrical motor and drive systems.
- Proven experience troubleshooting and repairing of simple to complex control systems utilizing PLC’s.
- Basic knowledge and troubleshooting skills with hydraulic and pneumatic systems (control and 480 V).
- Ability to read and interpret electrical and hydraulic drawings and schematics.
- Basic knowledge of chillers, cooling towers, and pumping systems.
- Excellent safety and attendance record.
- Ability to provide personal hand tools.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: include the following. Other duties may be assigned
- Welding and brazing of materials
- Select and uses different lubrication products
- Assemble, repair and modify power transmission equipment
- Select, maintain and install bearings
- Maintain and install pumps
- Layout and installation of piping and tubing systems
- Understand and assist in trouble shooting basic electrical systems
- Use electrical measuring and diagnostic equipment
Experience or Training Required:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Experience within an industrial environment as a maintenance technician
