Job description

This role is responsible for safely driving the mobile medical unit to and from various locations within the state of Nevada. The driver will assist with patient and equipment transport and must have basic knowledge of mobile unit mechanics and minor vehicle maintenance.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Driving the mobile unit, conducting regular maintenance checks, and ensuring the proper functioning of all systems. This includes pre-trip inspections, fuel purchasing, vehicle washing, and maintaining accurate logs.
- Safely and promptly transporting the mobile unit to and from assigned correctional facilities.
- Assist with patient registration and accurately collecting and/or documenting information.
- Cleaning and disinfecting rooms in accordance with applicable regulations to ensure a hazard-free environment and promote efficient turnover.
- Assembling and setting up supplies and equipment, including PPE and test kits.
- Collecting, packing, and shipping any specimens according to established protocols.
- Assisting in health-related emergency situations.
OTHER PRINCIPAL DUTIES:
- Other duties that may arise from time-to-time and/or are commensurate with the title and position.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associates, bachelors, or master’s degree preferred.
- Must have a valid CDL license and actively maintain it throughout employment.
- Ability to deal with high pressure and maintain a professional demeanor at all times.
- Completion of all required training and competency inclusive of additional security training for specific assignments.
- Must have clinical experience within the past six months.
- Current BLS Certification preferred.
- Current ACLS and PALS Certification preferred.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks while working in a fast-paced environment and meeting deadlines.
- Flexible schedule to include late afternoon and evening hours and overtime as needed to provide support for safety emergencies or incidents that occur after hours.
- Ability to wear PPE for extended periods of time without restriction.
- Must possess the physical capability to lift, bend, and perform other physical tasks requiring a minimum strength of 50 lbs.
