Job Description:

At Gilbert Cellars, we’re a tight- knit team, nurturing the land and making artful honest wines. We’re proud to have built a dynamic community here in the Yakima Valley- reimagining what wine culture can be. As a team we wear many hats while supporting each other in our respective fields.

This in- person position includes daily operations of our tasting room and wine club and will report directly to the active winery owners, while working closely with our small team.

Main Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with owners to develop a memorable tasting room experience that aligns with our company values and vision
- Work as a tasting room team member on the floor - Includes weekends
- Hire, train, educate, and motivate the tasting room team to give a great service experience
- Foster positive culture amongst the team through training, inspiration and brand knowledge - cultivating the brand identity and transcending it to customers
- Schedule tasting room staff based on tasting room traffic, while keeping costs low
- Execute our bi-annual wine club allocations from start to finish
- Set tasting room and event strategies to increase customer base, grow profits, and support wine club growth and club retention
- Work with owners and event coordinator to host wine club events.
- Manage Tock reservation system
- Work with Marketing Manager to create weekly emails that create awareness of calendar events
- Provide social media content as needed to Marketing Manager

Preferred Skills:
- Progressive interest in wine, food, hospitality, customer service and sales
- A minimum of five years of hospitality or sales experience, ideally in the wine industry
- Deep understanding of service experience
- Attention to detail as well as a keen eye for design and aesthetics
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, POS systems (Orderport), and Tock reservation system
- Proficiency in various social media platforms

- Can stand / walk for long periods
- Ability to lift and carry 40 lb
- Availability Wednesday- Sunday
