Job description

Our system also includes a psychiatric hospital, multiple specialty care centers, four residency programs and nearly 40 affiliated physician practices
- Manage inventory level of OR supplies
- Assure proper maintenance and repair of OR equipment
- Responsible for efficient and effective management of the resources and personnel in the sterile processing department

Supervises:
- Sterile Supply Tech I and II
Minimum:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
Preferred:
- Vocational/Technical School Degree
Required Experience:
Minimum:
- 1 year sterile processing experience
Required Certification/License/Registry:
- Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST) credential from the Healthcare Sterile Processing Association (HSPA) [formerly the International Association of Healthcare Central Service Materiel Management (IAHCSMM)] or the Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician (CSPDT) credential from the Certification Board For Sterile Processing and Distribution (CBSPD) within one (1) year post-hire
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Completion of a sterile processing course and/or a vocational/technical school diploma/degree in surgical technology
- More than one (1) year of sterile processing experience
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential from the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA).
