Job description
A health services network in New Jersey is looking to add an experienced, licensed Physician to join their team in Central Jersey as their new Regional Medical Director - Pediatric Urgent Care.
About the Opportunity: - Setting: Private Practice
- Specialty: Pediatrics / Pediatric Urgent Care / Pediatric Emergency Medicine
- Hours: 40 hours/week (24 hours of clinical shifts and 16 hours of clinical operations/admin duties; 2 weekends shifts a month)
Responsibilities: The Regional Medical Director - Pediatric Urgent Care will be responsible for:
- Ensure the delivery of high-quality clinical care by providing oversight and guidance to medical staff
- Monitor and maintain high standards of patient care and safety within the region
- Recruit, train, and supervise medical staff, including Pediatricians, Nurse Practitioners, and Physician Assistants
- Develop, implement, and update medical protocols, treatment guidelines, and clinical procedures to ensure consistent and evidence-based care
- Ensure compliance with all relevant healthcare regulations and accreditation standards
- Implement ongoing quality improvement measures and performance evaluations to drive excellence in patient care and operational efficiency.
- Develop and manage budgets for the region, making sure that financial resources are utilized efficiently to meet clinical and operational goals
- Develop and implement emergency response plans to handle any unforeseen medical crises or public health emergencies within the region.
- Perform other duties, as needed
Qualifications: - Licensed to practice medicine in the State of New Jersey
- Board Certified in Pediatrics and/or Pediatric Emergency Medicine
Desired Skills: - 5+ years of Pediatric Urgent Care experience
- 3+ years of experience in a Leadership role
