Responsible for development, coordination, and implementation of service development programs for Behavioral Health Services (BHS).
Screening of actual/potential clients for Behavioral Health Services (BHS). Collaborate with referral sources to enhance access to service line.
Learn to identify community needs and service gaps in Westchester, Dutchess, Putnam Counties and the NYC Metropolitan area. Collaborate with Marketing and BHS Leadership to develop strategic plans to address same.
Collaborate with Marketing and BHS Leadership to address opportunities for improved service provisions.
Cultivate relationships with actual/potential referents with a focus on expansion of BHS.
Learn to participate in community-based opportunities to promote health, education and prevention activities to referral sources and consumers. This may include, but is not limited to: health fairs, committees, educational programs, etc. and may include presentations.
Conduct outreach to all potential/actual referents and consumers to increase awareness of services offered, enhance use of services and resolve any concerns raised.
Provide transportation to consumers for access to BHS.
Positive representation of SJRH in performance, demeanor, appearance so as to promote services.
Provide referent and other reports as requested.
Adherence to SJRH Policy regarding attendance.
Other duties as assigned by supervisor
High School Diploma or Associate Degree in Human Services and/or CASAC preferred.
Minimum of two (2) years’ experience working with chemically dependent/behavioral health population.
Familiarity with the continuum of behavioral health care and treatment provider system in Westchester, Dutchess, Putnam Counties and NYC Metropolitan area.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Demonstrated ability to communicate, advocate and negotiate.
Spanish speaking a plus
Knowledge of E paces, screening procedures and insurances is vital
