Are you a new Paralegal with experience in court cases, interested in Probate and Estate Planning practice areas, and eager to advance in a law firm? Are you detail-oriented, organized, and enthusiastic about learning? If so, you could be the ideal Junior Paralegal for our team in Newport Beach, CA. We are an expanding firm looking for a dedicated, full-time Junior Paralegal. This position offers growth opportunities, challenges, and a supportive work environment. Responsibilities: • Prepare initial drafts of pleadings, trust documents, notices, declarations, supplements, receipts, and correspondence • Prepare estate planning binders and files for client meetings and hearings; research and pulling deeds • Mail-serve notices, pleadings, and other documents • Assist with estate planning signing appointments, and client meetings in general • Communicate with clients, courts, financial advisors, trustees, law firms, and other personnel • File documents with the Court including e-filing, recording documents with the County, checking probate notes, and scheduling court appearances • Maintain and monitor case progress, deadlines, and important timeframes/milestones • Manage and document client files and information in law firm’s practice management system • Answer phones, and schedule/calendar meetings and phone appointments • Support the office with special projects, as needed, and general administrative duties • Prioritize workload and independently manage daily tasks Qualifications: • Minimum of 1 year of experience working as a paralegal or legal assistant • Paralegal certification or qualify as a paralegal under California Business & Professions Code §6450 • Ability to work independently to manage your workload, multi-task, set priorities, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced office environment • Excellent communicator who is organized with exceptional attention to detail • Computer savvy, including proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel (knowledge of Actionstep is a plus!) Requirements: • You Must be available to work and be in the office Monday – Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. • You Must be professional, organized and detail-oriented • You Must be comfortable interacting with clients, working with various computer programs, databases, and systems • You Must be reliable, trustworthy, and able to maintain strict confidentiality Compensation: $19 - $25 hourly
