Assistant Clinical Research Coordinator | The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill

The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill

Location

Chapel Hill, NC | United States

Job description

Vacancy ID: P018692

Position Summary/Description:

This position will serve as an Assistant Clinical Research Coordinator for the Child and Adolescent Anxiety and Mood Disorders Program ( CHAAMP ), situated within the UNC School of Medicine's Department of Psychiatry. The Assistant Clinical Research Coordinator will be dedicated to the newly funded project, Leveraging Scientific Advances to Strengthen the Implementation, Evaluation, and Impacts of Intervention Programs for Children Experiencing Early Life Adversity.

The primary focus of this project is to deliver an evidence-based home visiting intervention to children (aged 2 to 4 years old) and their families who have been exposed to adversity. Before and after treatment, we will collect non-invasive measures of children's stress functioning to understand how treatments may repair the biological harms of adversity exposure and explore factors that make some children more likely to respond to treatment. Findings from this project will inform the development of larger multi-site research studies and contribute to policy efforts to improve treatment for young children exposed to adversity. This 3-year project is funded by The Duke Endowment and will involve collaborative work with partners in the local community (e.g., The Center for Child and Family Health in Durham) and other academic institutions (University of California, San Francisco; Center on the Developing Child at Harvard University).

The Assistant Clinical Research Coordinator assists with the execution of study protocols, including screening and recruiting study participants, conducting study visits, and collecting, entering, and reviewing study data.

Education and Experience:

Bachelor's degree; or equivalent combination of training and experience. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions.
