Job description
ADP is hiring a Project Manager. In this position you will be responsible for the full life cycle management of large IT projects. This includes supervising, planning and organizing activities as well as managing the implementation of complex business requirements and processes. Manage customer expectations throughout the delivery while managing scope and project profitability issues. Partner with programming team to estimate effort required to deliver the various proposed solutions, keeping in mind the difficulty of construction and the nature of the particular customer environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES: - Utilizes industry-accepted project management principles and firm-established project management tools and processes to direct project teams in the definition, planning and execution of complex long-term projects crossing multiple disciplines and geographies
- Consult with management and review project proposals to determine goals, time frame, funding limitations, procedures for accomplishing project, and allocation of resources
- Works with project customers, project sponsors, business analysts, customer relationship managers, and project team members in the planning and execution of large-scale IT projects
- Work closely with end users, business technologists, and others to understand and prioritize business goals and information needs.
- Coordinate with other project resources such as customer IT staff, infrastructure provider, service teams, documentation teams, test teams etc
- Utilizes industry-accepted methodologies and processes to bring projects in on schedule, within budget, and to the customer’s requirements
- Responsible for identifying and managing project risk factors, negotiating and implementing customer change requests, and tracking and reporting project progress
- Assists in the training development of more junior associates in area of expertise
- May have direct or matrix management responsibilities of associates as related to specific project(s)
- Communicate with direct management on ongoing status, milestones, successes, and project risks
- Participate in the integration of external and internal ADP applications/contents with the Internet delivered software to deliver a content-rich portal environment/product offering
- Maintain technical skills and enhance skill with a continuous training.
- Confer with project personnel to provide technical, business, or functional advice and resolve problems.
- Develop and maintain technical and project documentation.
- Provide leadership and motivation to project team members throughout project life cycle.
- Acts as an expert source of technical, business and functional information
- Responsible for managing, directing and planning one, but occasionally more than one, complex project consisting for one or more project teams.
- Responsible for coordinating, scheduling, assigning project tasks, team building, and maintaining working relationships with client functional areas outside of IT.
- Applies project development methodologies and reporting techniques to indicate project status.
- Superior presentation and communication skills.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED: - 7+ years of documented experience within functional area
- Requires a bachelor’s degree in computer science, business, or other related degree or an equivalent in education and experience.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Preference will be given to candidates who have the following:
- Must have demonstrated project management /leadership abilities
- MBA Degree and PMP certification preferred.
