Seasonal Park Laborer

CITY OF NOVI seeks outgoing individuals with leadership qualities and previous experience in a parks maintenance role to serve as the liaison between full time and seasonal employees.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Ability to work flexible hours, including early mornings, evenings, and weekends
• Ability to operate and maintain vehicles, equipment, and hand/power tools
• Ability to lift and carry greater than 50 pounds and have good physical mobility
• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Previous experience in a facility/park maintenance role is required
• Comfortable working in an individual or group setting

Salary starting at $15.50/hour or more based on previous experience with up to 37.5 hours per week.

Employees who stay past August 31 will be eligible for a $2.00/hour pay increase for the remainder of the season.

Position duration is end of May until the end of October. All hired laborers will be eligible for rehire in May of 2024 if they meet standards set forth by the department.
