Are you an upbeat recruiter and resident of New York State looking to join a worldwide leader in infrastructure and maintenance?
The remote Recruiter will research, develop, and implement effective recruiting and staffing strategies, for the Northeastern New York Division of Barrett Industries, to attract a diverse pool of qualified and capable talent for the organization. This position will primarily focus on hourly positions.
Compensation: $68,500-75,000
Responsibilities
- Develops, facilitates, and implements all phases of the recruitment process (posts positions, screens applicant, schedules interviews, offers positions to candidates, etc.)
- Collaborates with department managers to identify and draft detailed and accurate job descriptions and hiring criteria
- Identifies and implements efficient and effective recruiting methods and strategies based on the available role, industry standards, and the needs of the organization
- Prepares interview questions
- Collaborates with the hiring manager and/or other human resource staff during the offer process, identifying and recommending salary ranges, incentives, start dates, and other pertinent details
- Conducts market pay analysis regularly and shares information with decision makers
- Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and company policies
- Coordinates and participates in college job fairs and recruiting sessions
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Marketing, Communications or related field preferred
- 6 months -1 year managing all phases of the recruitment and hiring process
Skills
- Must have ability to easily commute to work locations in Watertown, Plattsburgh, and Liverpool (NY resident)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to follow-up timely and meet deadlines
- Ability to create and implement sourcing strategies for recruitment for a variety of roles
- Proactive and independent with the ability to take initiative
- Familiarity with laws, regulations, and standard methodologies applicable to hiring and recruitment
- Proficient with or the ability to quickly learn applicant-tracking software or other recruitment systems
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
