Job description
Position Overview:
Set up start models / drawings to be utilized in the implementation of design automation projects. Create and execute test specifications to validate projects work as expected. Provide support to others on team for overall project timelines.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Understanding of modeling best practices for design automation
- Capture necessary data to be driven in a given model / drawing
- Creating start models and drawings in accordance with established best practices
- Provide support to design automation teammates to further overall project goals
- Create specifications to validate projects work as expected
Position Requirements:
- In depth product knowledge for a given group of product families
- In depth knowledge of Knapheide Engineering design standards
- DriveWorksXpress Certification
- CSWA, CSWP, sheetmetal and drawing tools certifications
- AAS or BSME with at least 2 years of product design experience
- Verbal and written communication ability are essential
- Must have good analytical and decision-making skills
- Able to work accurately in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work independently to pre-arranged work schedule
- Ability to change tasks as roadblocks arise
Physical/Mental Requirements Needed to Perform the Essential Functions of this Position:
Normal standing, bending, walking, lifting in an office environment. The ability to verbally communicate with individuals is essential.
